The day in brief
The day will begin with a speech from the FCA's director of policy David Geale, before two further debates about the policy and regulations and delivering the reforms. The first debate will broadly consider the reforms in terms of consumers who have a regulated adviser or receive effective employer communications i.e. those who can may have an obvious route to access help, advice and guidance. The second debate will consider the rest of the mass market.
The conference will then split into two streams for IFAs and for workplace pension advisers considering how these types of firms need to adapt in terms of their proposition, products, advice and communications with a strongly iteritive emphasis.
The conference delegates then come back together for the closing address to finish at around 4.00pm. Attendance for advisers is by invitation only, though some limited paid for places may be available at a later date.
The conference is supported by LV=, Axa Investment Management and consultancy Space 01.
The conference chair is John Lappin.
