Are you really protecting your business?
Nearly every organisation is dependent on computers but dedicated IT staff are an indulgence that most small businesses do without.  More often than not their 'IT cap' is worn by the least technical person.  We can learn a lot from the mistakes of others so we've compiled a list of three basic data protection blunders that small companies make and how to avoid them...

Unencrypted Disks
Unencrypted hard disks store data in a form that's easy for other computers to read.  To get to your data, software can be purchased to go around windows passwords, read the data straight off the drives or reset admin passwords.
Half-baked Backups
Your backups are your business's last line of defence against loss or theft.  Your data protection efforts should be focused primarily on stopping data loss but if all else fails you should be able to restore your data.
Using Windows XP
Microsoft pulled the plug on Windows XP updates in April 2014.  Keeping your software up to date is an absolutely critical precaution. Let's be clear, Windows XP is dead.
If you have any data protection concerns contact Technical Support for
