Family Building Society in Brilliant Partnership

The newly launched Family Building Society has taken an innovative step to ensure that the customer experience on its mortgage processing is second to none. In the first a move of its kind not often seen for Mutuals, the lender has commenced the outsourced of its mortgage origination processing to the mortgage specialists, Brilliant Solutions.
Brilliant Solutions operates mortgage processing services for lenders and also offers a range of services for intermediaries which include a mortgage club and residential and commercial packaging services. The service fits within the company’s core skill set, having housed numerous in house underwriters over its twenty years of trading.

Leveraging these key skills allows us to expand our underwriting team internally and use more staff to build the society.

The Family Building Society will continue to retain all mandates internally but will benefit from greater efficiency and will also be making a big leap forward from a software and systems perspective. Brilliant will process the mortgage in a fully outsourced capacity, initially handling all direct cases as from the Family Building Society and increasing over time to process all Family Building Society and National Counties Building Society cases. Brilliant, which underwent extensive due diligence from a technical and regulatory perspective, has invested heavily in mortgage processing software to improve its offering to regulated networks and lenders alike.

The Family Building Society’s mortgage product range includes a Low Start Mortgage as well as an innovative Family Mortgage, leveraging equity and savings from family members who wish to support the applicants. The Family Building Society has been set up by National Counties Building Society as the lender looks to expand its lending and evolve to meet the needs of the current market.
