ADVISERS ENCOURAGED TO MAKE CLIENTS THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA FOCAL POINT

26 September 2014

Advisers have been encouraged to ensure that new and existing clients are their focal point in any ongoing social media strategy.

Speaking in a seminar at today’s Financial Services Expo (FSE) London, Derek Bradley, CEO of Panacea Adviser, also underlined the importance of exploring different channels within social media to make connections and build relationships with clients.

Bradley said: “Social media is one of the best ways in which you can promote your business but in order to do so it’s important to develop a strategy and head of this strategy should be the client or customer themselves.

“One of the main goals of social media is to turn your clients into your personal evangelists as they will often prove to be your most powerful advocates.”

Bradley also urged advisers to utilise their social media output to build a range of strategic alliances but also issued the warning: “Be careful what you post as what goes online, stays online.”
