FCA Chairman John Griffith-Jones to speak at APFA’s Annual Gala Dinner

29 September 2014

The Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) has announced that John Griffith-Jones, Chairman of the Financial Conduct Authority, will be the keynote speaker at its 2014 Annual Gala Dinner.

APFA’s Annual Gala Dinner, which this year also celebrates its 15th anniversary, takes place on Tuesday 18 November in the Grade II listed Banking Hall at 14 Cornhill. Attendees at the prestigious event for the adviser community will include leading industry figures, politicians and regulators.

Chris Hannant, Director General at APFA, said:
“We’re delighted to have John Griffith-Jones delivering the keynote speech at our Annual Dinner. The advice profession is gearing up for the new flexibility surrounding retirement income in April 2015 so this will be a timely opportunity to hear the latest from the FCA on how they plan to support the industry through this period.

“More broadly, issues such as fee levels and the regulatory burden on the sector are of real importance to advisers, and those present will be keen to hear from John on the FCA’s latest plans to address them.”
