Alistair McGowan to host Personal Finance Society Chartered Awards 2015

28 July 2015

Since 2009 the Personal Finance Society’s Chartered Awards have recognised the positive contribution that Chartered status is making to the reputation of financial planning as a trusted and valued profession. With Chartered status widely acknowledged by the public as the gold standard for a wide range of professional services, these Awards recognise those who are leading the way by demonstrating a commitment to the highest professional standards and the advancement of their profession.

Personal Finance Society Chief Executive, Keith Richards, commented: "Receiving such a prestigious Award from your Professional Body represents the ultimate endorsement of excellence and professional achievement. Previous winners have been surprised by the positive impact their achievement has received by colleagues, peers and clients alike.

Since being involved with the judging I have been amazed by the high standard of entries we receive each year, which is evidence of just how far our profession has evolved."

Entries are invited for the following categories:

  • Chartered Financial Planner of the Year (Individual)
  • Chartered Financial Planners of the Year (Corporate)
  • Paraplanner of the Year

Nominations also invited for:

  • Pro Bono Award 2015
  • The John Ellis Award 2015

The closing date for stage one entries and nominations is 14 August. Full details, including eligibility criteria and entry instructions can be found at thepfs.org/CharteredAwards2015

The 2015 awards ceremony will take place as part of the gala awards dinner in London on 2 November, hosted by comedian Alistair McGowan. The 2015 Chartered Awards ceremony coincides with the Personal Finance Society’s London Financial Planning Symposium. Four National Symposiums are being held in 2015 rather than a single annual conference to give more members access to the flagship event for financial planning. The London event is on 2 November with events in Newport (18th), Edinburgh (26th) and Birmingham (30th).
