Air Group launches third annual National Later Life Adviser Conference

05 December 2019

AIR Group, the collective of companies covering a range of retirement and later life services, has today (5th December 2019) announced that its third annual National Later Life Adviser Conference will take place at the National Space Centre in Leicester on the 4th June 2020.

Full details of the conference programme will be announced next year, however Air Group anticipate there will be up to 24 industry speakers and celebrity key-note addresses covering a range of later life issues through presentations and panel discussions.

Topics that will be covered include: a focus on education and support in entering the later life advisory space; information and resources for newly-qualified later life advisers on how they can start to operate successfully; plus later life experts will cover areas such as developing a marketing strategy and how best to advance skills.

Structured CPD will be available to all attendees.

The Conference will also feature more lender and provider sponsors than ever before, all of whom will have stands at the event and be available for delegates to speak to on the day.

Also, for the first time since its inception, the Conference will be free for all delegates – tickets can be booked at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-national-later-life-adviser-conference-2020-tickets-63649668873. Booking a ticket will incur a £10 charge however this will be refunded back to the delegate within 48 hours of their attendance at the event. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

To book an exhibition space, lenders/providers should e-mail: dw.conference@answersinretirement.co.uk

On the evening of the 4th, Air Group will also be holding its first ever Air Awards to recognise the achievements of advisers and providers/lenders in the later life space. 10 awards will be given out with eight based on Air Group data and two – best lender and best provider – nominated by advisers. This will be a black-tie event, which includes a three-course dinner and entertainment; providers and lenders will be hosting tables for VIP members to attend.

Stuart Wilson, CEO at Air Group, commented: “2020’s National Later Life Adviser Conference starts where we left off in 2019. This next conference, located at the National Space Centre due to growing demand for delegate spaces, is packed full of exciting content, ranging from our new Awards dinner, through a hugely increased range of speakers and subjects, with a surge in provider stands to bring delegates the very latest in products, services and ideas. Education and business acceleration are cornerstones of this next event, with a focus on older consumer needs and how to develop your business in this growing demographic.

“We’re also very pleased to announce free entry for all delegates, and so there’s no reason not to miss this Conference or our first ever Air Awards which will take place on the same evening, recognising the very best in our sector. It promises to be an unmissable day and we would like to invite all those lenders, providers and advisers who are active in the later life sector – or who wish to be active – to join us in Leicester in June.”

Danielle Wilson, Head of Marketing at Air Group, said: “We are truly excited about this year’s event, with both an exciting and informative conference and a lively and prestigious evening awards celebration, we are delivering real value to everyone in the later life industry. This year we’re also targeting the divide between the mortgage industry and the later life industry and looking to bridge some of the gaps and fill in some blanks for all concerned. We hope this event will aid advisers in providing a whole lifetime of financial support and advice for their clients, while fine tuning and enjoying their own career progression. We’re looking forward to taking this year’s delegates to infinity and beyond.”
