Uinsure appoints new BDM as growth continues

20 October 2017

GI provider Uinsure has welcomed Tim Horne as Business Development Manager for the Central region.

Horne has 25 years’ experience within the mortgage and insurance industry and most recently worked with Magellan Homeloans and Castle Trust, where he covered broker and key accounts in the Midlands.

In these roles, Tim was instrumental in developing areas from scratch and he created consultative relationships with a number of network and directly authorised firms.

His appointment comes during a period of growth for the Manchester-based firm, with a host of new hires in recent weeks.

Horne says: “I knew people on the Uinsure sales team before I joined and what has jumped out at me from day one is the enthusiasm and passion that everyone seems to have. I’m very excited to play my part in the company’s next phase of growth and tap into the huge distribution opportunities which exist.”

Additionally, Ian Twentyman also joins Uinsure as Telephone Account Manager for the South West and Wales. Ian previously worked in Virgin Media’s retail sales and direct field sales teams.

Twentyman says: I’m thrilled to be joining Uinsure and contributing to their rapid growth. The company is going from strength to strength and I’m genuinely excited for what the future holds. I love that I’m joining a company that has a real family feel to it, and I can’t wait to start supporting brokers in the South West and Wales area”

Jason Berry, sales director at Uinsure adds: "I am delighted to welcome Tim and Ian to our expanding Uinsure team. Tim brings a wealth of financial services experience which will undoubtedly benefit our adviser relationships in the Midlands area whilst Ian impressed hugely during the interview process, particularly with his desire to deliver exceptional support to customers.

“During 2018 the Insurance Distribution Directive will force those financial advisers wishing to continue transacting Insurance sales to seek educational support and guidance. These latest appointments demonstrate Uinsure's ongoing commitment to support the financial adviser community effectively and we are determined to ensure that providing Home Insurance advice can easily be built into everyday sales processes."
