BRIDGEWATER’S LONDON MASTERCLASS TO FOCUS ON MMR, LONG-TERM CARE AND CREATING OPPORTUNITIES

04 March 2014

The latest Bridgewater Equity Release Masterclass, taking place in London next month, will focus on three core topics – the Mortgage Market Review (MMR), long-term care and how brokers can create opportunities in the sector.

The London event takes place on Tuesday 18th March at DWF Solicitors’ office, Capital House, 85 King William Street, London EC4N 7BL and begins at 9.30am for coffee with the presentations starting at 10am. Lunch and networking will follow at 12.30pm.

Bridgewater’s Masterclass sessions are designed to provide adviser attendees with an update on a number of key business areas. The London session will focus on three including compliance and the changing regulatory structure that will come into place with the MMR, long-term care and the importance of equity release in funding it, and finally a look at how advisers can build business levels.

The three presentations will come from the following equity release experts:
• Alison Beeston, Grainger plc’s Group Risk & Compliance Manager and Simon Tranter, Grainger’s Risk & Compliance Officer will look at the MMR and its impact on equity release and the suitability of advice from a provider’s point of view.
• Jeremy Davies, Joint Managing Director of Symponia, analyses equity release and long-term care – the past, present and future.
• Chris Prior, Manager Sales and Distribution at Bridgewater Equity Release, takes advisers back to basics concentrating on planning, lead generation and other opportunities.

As always the Masterclass is free to attend and all equity release advisers are welcome – the event is aimed at those individuals who want to meet the highest standards in the marketplace.

Chris Prior, Manager, Sales and Distribution at Bridgewater Equity Release, commented:

“We are back in the heart of the City of London for our next Masterclass and we are inviting equity release advisers from all over the South East to join us for what is sure to be a highly informative morning of presentations. With the Mortgage Market Review less than a couple of months away many advisers will want to know how it might change their work and what providers will be doing to ensure compliance. We are also reviewing the role of equity release in helping fund clients’ long-term care needs whilst I will focus on a ‘back to basics’ section which will highlight the key methods advisers can use to take advantage of this growing marketplace. This is an event for all those advisers who are looking to improve their knowledge and boost the quality of their work, plus as always it is a chance to network with colleagues and make new business relationships. We look forward to hosting the event at the offices of DWF and welcoming the advisory community there on March 18th.”
