MBE 2014 seminar programme achieves CII accreditation

22 September 2014

Mortgage Business Expo can now announce that its seminar programme has been accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) under the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. This means that delegates can once again count their attendance at seminars towards the 35 hours of compulsory CPD they must complete in a 12 month period.

Returning to London for its 13th year on October 8th, MBE will this year take place at the iconic Barbican Centre. There is a great seminar programme lined up on the day, which will be jointly chaired by Gary Little, Head of Operations & Membership at The Society of Mortgage Professionals and David Finlay, Former Director at Barclays Intermediaries and ex-Chairman of IMLA. Topics covered include: Building your business on the self-employed; Buy to let opportunities; The rise of peer-to-peer lending, and the impact of alternative lenders on the mortgage market; Helping you to write more business; Mortgage Sales and Distribution – what happened in the last 12 months and where next; The 3R’s – Regulation, Reform and Risk; and The Commercial Mortgage Market and how YOU can benefit.

Show Director Mike Mikunda comments: “We have some fantastic speakers on board this year as well as a Dynamic Lenders panel session discussing the rise of alternative lenders in the UK mortgage market. Philip Calvert is also back by popular demand discussing social media for businesses - and how to beneficially leverage LinkedIn. Last year’s seminar programme was the result of close consultation with visitors about what they wanted, and it proved to be very successful. We have once again listened to feedback, and the seminars on offer reflect what people want from their show. The CII accreditation serves to highlight the quality of an event, so we are naturally delighted to have achieved this again.”

Seminars are free to attend but seats are available on a first come first served basis so make sure you register to attend the Mortgage Business Expo London 2014 at: www.mortgagebusinessexpo.com where you will also find details of the full seminar programme.
