Shawbrook appoints new Business Development Manager for Scotland

Shawbrook Bank has appointed Peter McDermid as the new Business Development Manager (BDM) for Scotland. Peter, a native Scot, will take on the responsibility of developing broker and introducer networks and growing the business across the region.
 
Peter has extensive experience in Scotland’s banking sector after spending nine years with the Bank of Scotland as a Relationship Manager dealing with commercial clients. He also worked within the bank’s real estate division where he supported brokers and was responsible for generating sales. He has a diploma in Financial Services and a certificate in Real Estate – both from the Institute of Bankers, Scotland.
 
Peter commented on his new role:
 
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Shawbrook at such an exciting time, to support Scottish brokers and develop this region. I hope to bring the benefit of my local experience to really drive new business and look forward to working with the rest of the sales team to contribute towards Shawbrook’s impressive growth”.
