Shawbrook appoints ‘Head of Operational Support’

22 February 2016

Shawbrook’s Commercial Mortgages division today announces a senior promotion within its Operations department, with Kate Wilson becoming the new ‘Head of Operational Support’.

Previously ‘Lending Support Manager’, Kate has been a Shawbrook employee since its inception in 2011 and has worked in the commercial mortgages industry for over a decade. During that time, she has amassed a wealth of experience centred on the integration and performance of numerous teams within the Commercial Mortgages division.

The Bank is keen to capitalise on Kate’s experience, with this new role building further responsibility and reporting capability to support the numerous product and process initiatives planned for 2016. With an additional focus on overseeing the budgets and records behind training performance, Kate will be responsible for an expert platform for her fellow employees to learn and grow into their roles, as well as increased operational reporting and analysis.

Kate had the following to say in regards to her promotion:

“I’m excited about the new role and the additional scope it will allow in terms of improving service to all our business partners.

An increased focus on analysing our current pipeline will help to unearth fresh ideas to help our brokers, and I’m also looking forward to discovering new ways to build efficiencies into our processes. When combined with overseeing the performance of our Lending Support teams, hopefully our Broker Partners will reap the benefits in the months ahead.”

Karen Bennett, Sales and Marketing Director commented:

“Kate is one of our longest serving employees and a key cog in the Operations department. She knows this area of the business inside out and we wanted to tap into her expertise, to further enhance our offering to Broker Partners behind the scenes.

“I look forward to seeing the impact of this new role and have every confidence in Kate’s ability to deliver to her own very high standards.”
