This collaboration aims to enhance OMS’s protection and life insurance offerings, providing users with a streamlined and efficient service.

The integration allows OMS users direct access to the UnderwriteMe Protection Platform, a unique protection sourcing tool.

This enables advisers to obtain protection quotations, engage in pre-sales underwriting, and experience a single application journey that delivers fully underwritten comparative terms for life, critical illness, and income protection products. OMS will automatically fill in the Protection Platform, facilitating this process.

OMS stands out as the only end-to-end platform covering a wide range of product areas including residential, buy-to-let, second charge, equity release, bridging, commercial, general insurance, and protection.

It integrates with leading providers like Twenty7Tec, Submissions Brain, Ignite, Hometrack, Experian, and Knowledge Bank to offer top-tier product sourcing, protection sourcing, and criteria searching.

Neal Jannels (pictured), managing director of OMS, said: “The UnderwriteMe platform shares many tech-led synergies with OMS, meaning this integration will really resonate with our users as it serves to simplify and streamline a process which has long been perceived as being daunting and overly complex.”

Jannels also highlighted the importance of addressing client protection needs, especially in an uncertain economic climate. “Ignoring a client’s protection needs will mean that advisers are not only potentially missing out on a regular income stream – which can also add considerable value to a business if there are any future exit strategies in the pipeline – but also in delivering a stronger duty of care. And this is a relationship which will certainly help to positively transform the protection conversation for our users and help deliver that duty of care.”

Mark Cracknell, commercial director at UnderwriteMe, added: “We are delighted to be launching a partnership with OMS. Our objective is to make individual protection more accessible and this integration with OMS is another important step in supporting the advice process and delivering customer choice.”
