Leek United appoints new Ashbourne Branch Manager

LEEK United has appointed Abigail Bowden as the new Manager at its Ashbourne Branch.
Abi, aged 26, took over the role this month (June) at the Victoria Square office where she began her career with the Society in April 2018, following several years in the recruitment and retail industry.
She worked initially as a Customer Advisor, progressing to the role of Branch Deputy Manager in January this year.
“Leek United has been a part of the local economy in Ashbourne for almost 40 years now, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build on all the strong relationships we’ve established in that time,” she said.
“We have a terrific, loyal customer base – many of whom we’re on first-name terms with – who place a huge value on the friendly, personal face-to-face service we offer, and as a team we also take great pride in playing our part in the local community.”
Originally from Leek, Abi lives in the village of Brailsford with her partner and four-year-old son, Jacob.
