Air Group launch full API integration between Air Sourcing and Knowledge Bank

20 November 2019

Answers in Retirement Group (Air Group), the Group of companies covering a range of retirement and later life services, has today (20th November 2019) announced full API integration between its platform, Air Sourcing, and criteria search provider, Knowledge Bank.

The new strategic alliance between the two systems will provide users with a range of new benefits allowing advisers access to a fully-comprehensive product and criteria search for all later life options.

As part of the new link-up, users will benefit from seamless data entry which will flow between both systems, plus it will allow advisers to check all later life lenders’ criteria before moving into product sourcing, or vice versa, allowing product sourcing which can then be checked to see if the criteria matches.

Air Group said this is an exclusive offer for users of both systems, and also introduced an opportunity for advisers to refer to specialists in the sector if they are not qualified to provide advice in one part of the later life market. This could be done automatically following the entry of client data.

The new strategic alliance would, Air Group said, benefit all later life lending advisers and providers, as it would feed into multi-level product management information which would help in delivering the next generation of product and feature design in the future.

It also feeds into the FCA’s own work on how firms can deliver more efficient advice in this sector and how it might result in much better consumer outcomes.

This announcement follows last week’s launch of a new version of the Air Sourcing platform for later life advisers which is now home to Air Group’s range of propositions including Air Mortgage Club, Air Later Life Academy, Air Packaging and Air Rewards allowing advisers to access all of these on the one system.

Air Mortgage Club is the distributor for equity release and later life advisers; Air Later Life Academy is the commercial and training organisation for later life members; Air Packaging is the full service, para-packaging proposition for advisers seeking the right lending solutions for their older clients; and Air Rewards is the Group’s reward scheme for awards.

Stuart Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of AIR Group, commented: “This is one of the most significant announcements and agreements in the later life lending sector as it indicates the joint ambition of both firms to deliver the very best tools and technology integration on an exclusive basis. We are incredibly excited to be working with the multi-award-winning team at Knowledge Bank, led by Nicola. Air Group has spent many weeks ensuring that this launch brings a huge variety of benefits to our mutual member firms and seamlessly joins our two dynamic systems together in a market-leading strategic alliance.”

Nicola Firth, CEO and Founder of Knowledge Bank, said: “We are very pleased to be working with Air Sourcing to bring together a true ‘best of breed’ solution for later life lending sourcing. This collaboration brings together criteria and product in a truly unique way. We have worked closely with Stuart and his team to ensure that every aspect has been considered from the adviser’s point of view and with our collective experience in the market, we are confident this will be, without doubt, the platform of choice for advisers in the later life lending sector.”
