Vernon and Imagine FM toy appeal donates over 300 toys to The Together Trust

20 December 2019

The Vernon and Imagine FM launched their first ever Toy Appeal to support the Together Trust and the 2,700 families the charity serves across the North West.

Together Trust supports young people, adults and families with autism, a learning disability, physical disability, complex needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

So far over 300 brand new toys have been donated across Vernon’s six branches, with more arriving by the hour.

Vernon’s marketing manager, Alex Deakin, said: “It’s been absolutely incredible to see the donations coming in from all areas of Manchester as well as our local community of Stockport to support the Together Trust. We’ve received the most wonderful comments and messages of support from local businesses and individuals.

“This has been a very successful appeal and will definitely become an annual fixture in our calendar.”

Kaylie Chapman, community and events fundraiser at the Together Trust said: “This is truly amazing. We are so, so pleased with the generosity of Imagine FM listeners and Vernon customers.

“The service users have been coming to us this week to collect the toys from our offices and they have all commented on the quality of the toys and kindness of the local community.”

The Toy appeal is closing on the 23rd December just in time for Christmas.
