Computershare Loan Services donates £1,200 to The Principle Trust

The Principle Trust was established in 2011 and is a Yorkshire-based Children’s Charity supporting underprivileged, disadvantaged, and disabled children and their families through the provision of free holidays and respite breaks. They own 5 holiday homes, 2 of which are fully adapted for disabled access.

Computershare Loan Services allocates £20,000 annually for its Charity Donations Fund. The fund aims to help prevent financial hardship as well as support those experiencing money problems.

Andrew Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Computershare Loan Services, said: “We are so pleased to be able to lend our support to The Principle Trust, which provides a respite for many young children and families in poverty who are disadvantaged, underprivileged or disabled.

“Countless families face difficult times ahead as a result of the pandemic, and The Principle Trust’s holiday program gives a few families a much-needed breather.”

“Donation support, such as our Charity Donations Fund, plays a critical function in keeping various programs at charity organizations moving forward, and is needed now more than ever.”

Lauren Fisher, Fundraising Manager at The Principle Trust said: “We are so grateful for the support that Computershare has so kindly given. It will really improve the quality of life for the children and families we support, especially those who have suffered furthermore during the pandemic due to living in poverty. We won't allow vulnerable children and families to miss out on the opportunity of a free week-long respite break which could be life changing for so many of them."

Recently, The Principle Trust took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge and the 82-mile Dales way walk with a band of loyal supporters and raised approximately £15,000. They have also launched a patrons scheme for both corporate organisations and individuals to give small monthly donations and the charity are now underway with plans for an online Christmas Auction to raise much-needed funds.

If you would like to donate a prize for the Christmas auction or would like to find out more about how you or your company can support The Principle Trust via the Patrons Scheme, send an email to fundraising@theprincipletrust.co.uk
