Jacuzzi experiences huge 60% annual sales increase as UK demand continues to grow

Sales of Jacuzzi® products are continuing to soar across the UK as Brits enjoy spending more time in their gardens.

The leading hydrotherapy specialist has reported a huge 60% year-on-year growth in sales for its ranges of hot tubs and swim spas. 1

With many Brits swapping their overseas holidays for their back garden, hot tubs have become a summer staple. The need to enjoy a bit of luxury at home after months in lockdown and the continually unpredictable circumstances around travelling have meant a huge leap in sales.

The first spike for Jacuzzi® came in May 2020 after the initial lockdown. Many consumers decided to invest in their property and with most of the brand’s products being predominantly outdoor based, all installations could still go ahead without restrictions.

Simon Firmin, CFO at Jacuzzi, said: “July 2020 saw a slowdown as demand outstripped supply when factories had to close for a period. However, supply quickly recovered and, where we would usually see a reduction in October onwards due to the traditional seasonal nature of our sales, this year it stayed at peak summer levels.

“We’ve seen impressive demand across our entire range of products, with our best sellers being the J-235, J-335 and J-475 hot tubs, all of which featured in the What Spa Best Buy 2020 list.

“We’ve also seen a much higher demand from younger customers and those living in suburban regions, as well as our traditional customer base, who mainly live in rural areas. We’re thrilled that we’re able to bring the relaxation of a hot tub to an ever-expanding range of customers.”
